Dersingham Neighbourhood Plan – Introduction

This page provides a brief introduction to the Dersingham Neighbourhood Plan, what it is for and how you can contribute. For more information, please drop in to our launch event on 29th November or keep an eye on the News and Neighbourhood Plan sections this website..

Dersingham Parish Council have agreed to produce a Neighbourhood Plan.

It is a community-led vision for the future of the village. It will set out how we would like our village to develop over the coming years, guiding decisions on new homes, local facilities, green spaces, and infrastructure. The Plan will reflect what matters most to our community and will be shaped through consultation with residents and businesses and other evidence.

Once approved, the Dersingham Neighbourhood Plan will become part of the statutory planning framework. This means it will have to be taken into account by the Borough Council when they make decisions on planning applications as it carries real weight. It will help us protect what residents value while supporting appropriate, sustainable growth.

To shape a Neighbourhood Plan that truly reflects the needs of Dersingham, we need the help of residents and those of you who run local businesses. By signing up for email updates, you’ll receive:

•  Invitations to consultations and surveys
•  Reminders about public events and drop-in sessions
•  Progress updates

Your input matters — and staying connected ensures you won’t miss opportunities to have your say. We’ll only use your contact details for Neighbourhood Plan purposes, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
