As part of their process for creating a new Local Plan the Borough Council are undertaking a Scoping Consultation that is open to parish councils, borough councillors and other interested parties, such as landowners, agents, and the public. They are seeking to find out people’s priorities for making decisions about where development will go. The consultation closes on 29th September.
The Borough Council have created a website to explain their process and to allow you to respond to their consultation surveys online. The website is available Here. You can directly access the the two online surveys that form part of the consultation Here.
Please note that as part of the consultation we are being asked for our views on sites that that have been suggested for possible development following the “Call for Sites” process recently undertaken by the Borough Council. These sites are not currently part of any plan or planning application, and have not yet been assessed by the Planning Authority for suitability for inclusion in their new Local Plan. We are therefore being given an early opportunity to comment on the proposals.
The Parish Council would also greatly appreciate your views on the suggested sites within Dersingham as we need to take them into account in our draft Neighbourhood Plan and in our response to the Borough Council consultation.
There are 7 sites in Dersingham. These are shown on the Call for Sites map extract attached below.
