Household Waste Collections
This service is operated by the Borough Council of Kings Lynn and West Norfolk. Please see their website for full details and to access online reporting and payment facilities. The waste and recycling services have changed and expanded recently and we understand that there are more changes to come, so the website is well worth a visit.
BCKLWN WEBSITE – BINS AND RECYCLING PAGE
Each household is provided with a black wheelie bin for general waste, a green wheelie bin for recyclable waste and a food waste caddy. Brown bins are also available for garden waste at an extra charge. The wheelie bins are collected fortnightly and the food waste caddy is collected weekly.
Please see the Borough Councils website for information as to what should go in each bin, your scheduled collection days , the cost of optional services.

Local Recycling Centres
Norfolk County Council operate Recycling Centres across Norfolk. The nearest to Dersingham are Chalk Pit Road Heacham, Fakenham Road Docking and Willows Business Park, Saddlebow Estate, King’s Lynn.
The Centres accept household waste, garden waste, DIY waste and more. The rules around what will be accepted free of charge, what will be accepted for a charge, and what will not be accepted are explained in detail on the County Councils website.
Many residents may be unaware that limited amounts of DIY waste are now accepted free of charge.
